Volunteers Needed at GRACE Main!

Do you ever wonder how volunteering benefits GRACE? By donating time, you are directly saving resources for our organization. Every hour that you give to our community through volunteerism is an hour that the community gains back in real dollars. Those dollars (rated at $25.43/hr) can then be spent in other ways that serve and better the community. We love our volunteers so much and we always want to add to the GRACE Family! Before volunteering, we do ask that our volunteers attend orientation and pass a background check. GRACE Volunteer Orientations are every other Tuesday at 4pm. Those dates can be found HERE . Some of the volunteer opportunities needed at GRACE Main are in two locations: Client Services: This is the primary entry for our clients who are faced with financial challenges due to an emergency or who are low-income. Our staff in this program help clients with

Whether you are new to the GRACE Gala or are a Gala patron, the Gala Gifting Party on Thursday, June 13, is the perfect opportunity to be a part of the excitement.  2019 Gala Chairs, Brent and Kimberly Tipps, founders and owners of the BoomerJack’s restaurants, will be hosting the event to kick off the Gala season. GRACE Gone Fishin’

GRACE Sites were closed for the day this past Wednesday, May 1st to allow our staff an opportunity to take a step back from the day-to-day work of our organization and spend some time thinking about the bigger picture.  It was a perfect time to rejuvenate our team, get everyone excited around our united mission, set goals, and build bonds between team members. GRACE’s annual staff retreat is a day of fellowship, personal growth and reflection that refreshes our focus on our particular roles in the GRACE mission. This year we reflected on how to improve the already outstanding GRACE culture even more. GRACE desires to empower our employees to be more effective in every job and continually improve our culture to create better results.  We discussed teamwork, client and customer service, employee engagement, retention, recognition and leadership. We began the day with fellowship and a hearty breakfast and

Nurturing Nature And People

GRACE has many Programs that help people in our community in many different ways.  But longtime Grapevine resident, Mike Conroy, found a way to combine his love of the outdoors with his passion to serve in a whole new way!  GRACE can now thank Mike for adding lawn care to our long list of areas of outreach. After numerous years of volunteering for Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County, Mike began serving through our Friends & Family Program last year.  Last summer, he assisted three of our senior clients with lawn care.  He mows, edges, prunes shrubs and trees, rakes leaves, even some fence repair – Mike does it all!  He gladly helps out in any way he is able. A passionate wilderness backpacker, this incredibly helpful man asked specifically for this type of volunteer work, knowing that there is definitely a need to be met that could work hand

Let’s Get Connected, GRACE Family

Get connected with your GRACE Family on Social Media! Social media is perhaps the most time and cost effective way we can brag on our GRACE family (that’s you!) and expand our reach to our community. Our Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram pages relay the latest inspirational stories, photos, and real-time needs within each GRACE program. Be sure to tag your collection drives and special events with #GRACEGrapevine! It’s our earnest desire that our community take personal ownership of what we’ve achieved together as an agency, after all, we couldn’t serve families without you! When GRACE was established over thirty years ago before “buzzwords” were “trending,” it was the heart of GRACE to provide centralized care to families in distress. Now with an even bigger platform to honor that mission, the more engaged we are with our community, the greater our impact toward those in need. If you are reading
