William was turning double digits. Being 10 is a big thing for a kid, and William certainly was looking forward to that next step, and the responsibilities and growth that came with it.

The step that he took, though, turned out to be a massive leap!

A party was planned, but instead of an array of toys and electronics that he was sure to receive, he asked all of his friends to bring gifts of food for the hungry people served by the GRACE Food Pantry.

His mother and father checked the GRACE Pantry Needs List on the website  to find out some of the most needed items and passed this along so the items received were specific to GRACE clients’ needs.

“With that type of heart at 10,” said Stacy Pacholick, GRACE Director of Programs,” there is no telling what kind of an adult he will grow up to be.”

Our thanks to William, his parents, and all of his friends who gave to help feed those in need. The GRACE Food Pantry, 837 East Walnut Street, Grapevine, accepts donations of non-perishable food 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
