GRACE Community Clinic is happy to introduce our newest Nurse Practitioner to join our family, Leslie C. Hatcher, MSN, APRN, CCE, FNP-C (licensed in Texas and Hawaii)!

Leslie created Green Life Wellness in 2010, as a global platform to share academic and independent research on correlations between poor pregnancy outcomes, childhood illnesses, and the use of life disrupting chemicals in the community.

As a former critical care RN and mother, it was the health of her own family and countless patients which prompted a deeper look into environmental health practices and regulations within communities. What started with a rashy baby, a baffled pediatrician, and an investigation into playground wood chips, blossomed into a globally connected research group of like-minded professionals and parents.

During graduate school, PEBA (Plant and Evidence Based Approach), Ms. Hatcher’s translational research in vegetarian diets during pregnancy, was added as core curriculum for childbirth educators.  Today, Green Life Wellness & Medicine continues the tradition of research, education, and advocacy, with the addition of traditional medicine services.

Leslie practices compassionate, culturally sensitive family and internal medicine.  You can find her doing just that, at our GRACE Clinic.  Her patient care strategy is simple yet effective: Slow down.  Listen to your patient.  The answer is in their story.  The evidence is in the exam.  Outside of work and volunteer time she enjoys organic gardening, improving her Spanish, swimming with her children, reading, music, art, and aimless wandering of the planet in search of the perfect lunch.
