GRACE’s ability to offer a high degree of accountability and integrity is largely due to the tenure of the GRACE Board of Directors. The collective expertise of the GRACE Board is second to none, and GRACE is pleased to welcome two new community leaders to the slate:
Ana Erwin and Kay Allen, CFP.

Kay Allen –

Kay Allen is the founder of Allen Wealth Advisors and a known community leader. Kay has been in the financial industry for her entire career and earned her CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation in 2011.

Kay developed a passion for financial planning from her strong desire to help people plan for the future and help them understand the confusing array of financial products, services, and their associated fees. She received her undergraduate degree in Business Finance from Kansas State University.

Incredibly active in the community, she holds leadership positions at the Colleyville Chamber, Colleyville Rotary, Education Foundation, and now as a member of our Board.

Kay Allen has been a trusted leader of many nonprofits, civic clubs and chambers. She brings focus and integrity to GRACE as the board is establishing a long term endowment program for future generations of GRACE families.

Ana Erwin –

Ana Erwin is the General Manger of Community Impact Newspaper – Grapevine/Colleyville/Southlake & Keller/Roanoke/NE Fort Worth. A journalist and a leader, she graduated from Texas A&M and has been in her role with Community Impact News since 2016.

Incredibly active in the communities of Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake.  She is also a member of Rotary, on the Southlake Women Empowered Event committee, and has volunteered on the GRACE Gala committee for several years – 2 years ago as Auction Chair.

The GRACE Board of Directors is one of the most engaged non-profit boards in Northeast Tarrant County. The members consist of diverse leaders representing all aspects of this community. The addition of Ana Erwin and Kay Allen take this already high-functioning group to another level.

Ana’s expertise in journalism and communication as the General Manager of Community Impact News uniquely qualifies her to guide the development and execution of the agency’s new brand.

“Serving on the GRACE board of directors is an immense honor. As a friend of GRACE and volunteer over the last several years, I have seen firsthand how much this organization impacts our own neighbors,” said Ana. “Growing up, my family went through some challenging times and I know the only reason we got through it was because of the support of people with generous hearts. I hope to be a small part of helping folks who like me, once needed help, and to continue to grow the mission of GRACE. “

“I can’t think of two more dynamic and experienced women to join our GRACE Family,” says GRACE CEO Shonda Schaefer. “There is a new energy and excitement surrounding their election and I look forward to working with them!”

GRACE is tremendously honored that these four individuals would invest in GRACE by lending their time, insight and talents. Welcome to the Family!
