Even though school is back in session, GRACE still has a plethora of volunteer opportunities that you, your organization, and your family would enjoy. With just over two months before the 19th annual GRACE Gala, we are still in need of volunteers to make this event memorable for everyone involved.

Gala volunteers assist with a variety of tasks, such as setup and breakdown, greeting, raffle sales, silent auction and many others.

One of the most popular volunteer opportunities we offer for both individuals and organizations is the GRACE Holiday Food distribution.

The Holiday Food Distribution is provided to our Clients three to four days before the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. This makes the season merrier and the meals tastier for our wonderful GRACE clients as they receive unique holiday dinners such as ham, turkey and pork.

During the holiday distribution, volunteers assist with setting up, checking in, bagging food items, and distributing food to clients’ vehicles. This is a fantastic opportunity for volunteers to interact with clients and enhance the lives of both the clients and the community.

Last but not least, the GRACE Christmas Cottage is around the corner, and we are just as excited as you are about all of the families and individuals that the Cottage will serve this year. The Christmas Cottage gives brand-new, unwrapped gifts to families facing financial hardship due to limited income and recent emergencies.

Each qualified family who participates in the Christmas Cottage is given a hypothetical “budget” that enables parents to “buy” donated toys, household items, and appliances in a private, store-like setting.

Volunteers assist with the Christmas Cottage by setting up and breaking down the event, assisting clients in selecting their gifts, checking clients in, arranging gifts on shelves and racks, and doing many other duties.

“The holiday season can be a difficult time for families,” said Volunteer Manager Ryan Jackson. “We wish to be a source of everything loving and giving so that families everywhere can feel fulfilled.”

As we prepare for these opportunities, we would be delighted to have you alongside us as we continue to serve our lovely community.  If any of these opportunities sound like something you would be interested in doing to support your community, please contact our Volunteer Manager, Ryan Jackson, at Volunteer@GRACEGrapevine.org
