GRACE is blessed with strong relationships among church groups, corporate partners and civic clubs. Each year one volunteer group is recognized for going above the call to meet a tangible need for families at GRACE.  This year’s Volunteer Group of the Year goes to CWS Corporate Housing.

CWS Corporate Housing contacted GRACE to meet a pressing need in our agency.  To our delight, our initial suggestions were turned down because they weren’t, “big enough”. It quickly became obvious that this group wanted to do more than check off a box; they had a heartfelt desire to employ their talents in a way that would make a lasting impact on families.

After some collaboration, Transitional Housing seemed like an ideal fit for their industry. Not only did the team at CWS revitalize the Transitional Housing grounds with new landscaping, paint, exterior finishes, and plumbing, the group completely furnished our apartments to make each unit feel like a home for displaced clients.

Many of the employees donated their personal time to complete the project, and collected a $3,100 donation for our Transitional Housing program.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, the album above tells a beautiful story of transformation, much like the families who seek comfort at GRACE. The updated apartments are much more than a tranquil space; these homes mean stability, safety and hope to single mothers or families who have the courage to start again in a supportive and loving environment.

A special thanks to the giving team at CWS Corporate Housing for their dedication to service!
