Cooper Doshier and the pre-k graduates at First Presbyterian Preschool revealed what Jesus meant when he reminded us to have faith like a child.

Last week Cooper sought out Pastor Bob, one of the Chapel leaders at the school, to give him his piggy bank funds to feed children in need.

When Cooper learned that there were some children who didn’t have access to a warm meal or snacks throughout the day, it moved his heart to give everything he could.

To honor the purity of Cooper’s heart, a certificate on behalf of GRACE and the school was presented to Cooper to signify his act of abundant generosity.

First Presbyterian Church Grapevine instills a culture of generosity down to their youngest congregants. The church has invested over 1,000 collective volunteer hours and given above and beyond with $111,000 to continue GRACE programs.

They also encourage their members to utilize their unique talents to show God’s love to local families, including the Reverse Hunger Food Truck, which collects food donations from grocery store shoppers, Feed Our Kids, and hosting baby showers so that new mothers know they are loved and valued.

We value every gift, like Cooper’s, that came from a cheerful and pure heart.

“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7
