It’s hard to remember the last time our Transitional Housing program was this busy. This life changing program is now helping an inspiring and diverse group of four women and their five children. The stories that led these women to GRACE are equal parts harrowing and inspiring, two of the families coming from other countries in Africa and Asia.

The home blessing events are finally being held in person as well as virtually with a select group of guests including staff, volunteers, and a group of representatives from the Grapevine Police Department including Chief Mike Hamlin. At these events the families are introduced to their new homes as well as the people that worked so hard to turn these spaces into lovely homes.

Compass Church, White’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Abiding Grace Lutheran Church, and First Baptist Church-Grapevine all had teams work on each of the properties, adding comfy furniture, design touches, and food – making sure that our clients have everything they need to start their journey into self-sufficiency.

One of the most successful programs of its kind, The GRACE Transitional Housing program provides a chance for families to achieve educational, career, and financial goals while living in clean, stable housing. Over two years these families learn the skills they need to thrive and create the best possible lives for themselves.
