Nearly 450 attendees showed up this past Sunday, May 7th, in support for the GRACE Transitional Housing program for the 3rd annual Designer Bags & Bingo! Gorgeous purses, delicious appetizers, sweet treats, and friendly competition filled the air for a packed afternoon.
Upon arrival at this year’s location, Fidelity Investments in Westlake, guests were greeted by our sharply dressed Bingo Gents and were able to check out some awesome cars from our presenting sponsor, Park Place Lexus, Jaguar & Land Rover Grapevine. Once led into the building, they had the opportunity to take photos at our selfie station and purchase beautiful jewelry at the Kendra Scott pull.
Excitement filled the air as things got started with an introduction by event chair, Lynda Warner, opening remarks from GRACE CEO, Shonda Schaefer, and a video presentation highlighting the Transitional Housing program. Next, the Bingo Gents marched through the Parade of Purses, showing off each designer bag with a twirl, a wink, or a proper royal wave.
Each round of Bingo was followed by the presentation of some really incredible door prizes, table prizes, and a mouth-watering array of appetizers from Scratch Catering & Fine Foods. Antipasto skewers, chicken salad sandwiches, and more – followed by the most delightful sweet treat from Alli’s Sweet Shop.
Every Bingo round winner received a coveted golden ticket, guaranteeing them one of the ten amazing designer bags. Guests purchased raffle tickets in hopes of winning an incredible Christian Louboutin tote purse. And every guest went home with a swag bag filled to the brim with goodies from our generous sponsors! Everyone left with a smile on their face, thanks to the abundance of amazing people that made this event happen.
GRACE would like to thank every volunteer that gave their time to setting up, filling swag bags, taking photos for guest, cleaning up afterward, and everything in between.
