Meet Jeremiah and Matthew Harris.  These two fellas are not just cute, but are learning at this young age just how important it is to help others.  The Harris boys have weekly chores for which they receive an allowance from their parents.  Each week, their earnings are intentionally divided between saving, spending and giving.

Mother, Christy Harris, explains, “My husband and I continually emphasize the importance of remaining mindful of the needs of others, being good stewards of our many blessings, and our purpose here – which is to serve.”

Christy and her husband agreed to match their sons’ accumulated funds for giving.  Fortunately for GRACE, the little guys chose our Food Pantry as the group they would like to support.  The Harris boys stopped by The Food Pantry to drop off their donations recently, and their radiant spirits touched every heart there.

GRACE Food Pantry Assistant Manager, Keith Hills, was incredibly impressed with the boys’ excitement to give back.  The Harris family say they are appreciative of the efforts of GRACE in our community and pray that God continues to bless our efforts, our families, and all those in need.

From the bottom of our hearts, Harris family, thank you for doing your part in helping fulfill the GRACE mission!  What a wonderful way to teach your children how to serve with joyful hearts!  “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
