Helping others is the foundation of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) – Texas Lone Star Chapter.  We are incredibly thankful HFMA chose GRACE as their 2019/2020 charity of choice for educational events, the women’s conference and golf tournament.  With an aligned vision to assist people in North Texas communities, they say it was a natural selection!

Last Thursday, HFMA hosted their “Be Bold & Brave” LONE STAR WOMEN’S DINNER MEETING benefitting GRACE at Las Colinas Country Club.  It was an evening to celebrate and focus on empowering women, complete with a cocktail reception and seated dinner with the hilariously poignant Diana Jorden as keynote speaker.

The Women’s Conference Committee organized an impressive silent auction offering one-of-a-kind works of art from local women artists,  chic outfits from always fabulous CAbi, stylish jewelry and other tchotchkes that any woman would adore.  All proceeds from the auction were donated to GRACE!

GRACE is humbly grateful to HFMA for their partnership granting us exposure with the largest health systems in Texas, an increase in volunteer awareness, gifts in-kind and monetary donations.  A heartfelt thank you going out to the wonderful people of HFMA!

HFMA helps healthcare finance and business leaders successfully navigate today’s complex environment.  The diverse HFMA national community has more than 43,000 members and the organization helps healthcare providers achieve optimal performance by providing solutions, education, and strategic guidance needed to address the many challenges that exist within the US healthcare system.

Keynote Speaker: Diana Jordan

“Female, Fabulous & Fearless”

Oprah calls Diana Jordan, “One of the funniest people on the planet!”

Inspiring people and making them laugh is a real passion for Diana.  She came to realize that by encouraging people to laugh and ‘find the funny’ in life she could motivate, inspire and teach them what she has learned over the past 25 years…how important laughter is in nourishing yourself and changing your outlook on life.

Becoming a motivational speaker was a natural transition for Diana who has been nominated by the American Comedy Awards as one of the Top Five Female Comedians in the country.

After surviving cancer, she realized her talent for comedy was the perfect vehicle to deliver important messages to meetings and conventions across the country.  “Laughter bonds people, takes the dis- out of distress and is like a mini vacation for the mind. It makes us feel better, see things more clearly, be more productive, healthier, and look younger!”

Also a successful author, Diana co-wrote, A Wife’s Little Instruction Book, Your Survival Guide To Marriage Without Bloodshed! Which has sold over 500,000 copies sold worldwide.  She is currently working on a new book entitled, “A Dummies guide to cancer etiquette!”
