Our GRACE Family never ceases to amaze us!  Each Friday over the summer, our faithful volunteers invested their time at GRACE Grocery Giveaway which resulted in helping 4,822 individuals (1,101 families)!

Over 369 volunteer hours provided families with nearly $95,000 worth of fresh produce and kitchen essentials to families in need.  That’s $67,796 more than our previous year!

Since its pilot launch in 2015, the program has directly dispensed an estimated $184,000 worth of goods to families living in neighborhoods most vulnerable to food security.

The tables are set up like a farmer’s market, stocked with impressive, healthful items.  The structure is intentional in developing a positive relationship with the recipients, so families can select foods that meet their dietary needs and meal preferences.

Participants are offered an incredible variety of meat, milk, eggs, potatoes, carrots, beets, cabbage, melon, apples, oranges, sugar snap peas, fresh green beans, brussel sprouts, cucumbers, peppers, cilantro, spaghetti squash, zucchini, rice, beans, split peas, lettuce, salad, raspberries, blue berries, grapes… just to name a few items!

Families would not be able to walk away with healthy grocery items if it weren’t for a dedicated team of volunteers to power the project and, of course, our incredible donors who steward their resources to the community.

We wish to say a sincere thank you to the 207 volunteers that made it all happen and Tarrant Area Food Bank for partnering with us as a special mobile event!
