The GRACE Community Clinic has been very busy this summer and a great place for GRACE clients to engage and serve in the community!

The Tarrant Area Food Bank Class, Cooking Matters was back at GRACE for another month. This exciting class is taught by volunteer nutritionist and culinary instructor, Hai Nguyen, who brings excitement and fun to each class.

This month a record number of 18 clients graduated from the Cooking Matters class, with a better understanding of healthy eating and budgeting wisely. Additionally, groceries are provided for participants to take home at the end of class each week so that they can practice preparing healthy recipes at home to share them with their families.

Next month the GRACE Community Clinic has two special classes they are offering to GRACE clients that are sure to be very successful.

The first class is ESL Class (English as a second language). This interactive class helps GRACE clients learn how to listen to English and understand it, as well as develop writing and speaking skills in the language. This class will be taught by Russ Lugo, and will start July 20th at 6:30 pm at GRACE main.

The second class that many GRACE clients are excited on is Healthy Body, Healthy Life Class. This creative class is action-packed and full of exercises such as cardio, weight lifting, and stretching, all with the goal of living a healthy and happy life! GRACE Community Clinic Intern, Reagan Huskill is proud to be teaching this wonderful class and looks forward to assisting clients on their health journey. Classes will start on July 10th from 6:00- 7:00 pm, at GRACE Main.

GRACE is so proud of our clients for their continuous efforts of pushing toward that goal of self-sufficiency. Their hard work has inspired many to keep going to live a happy and healthy life.
