On behalf of the GRACE Gala Chairs and Gala Auction Committee, a special thanks to all who attended the Gala Gifting Party on Thursday at BoomerJack’s! Our 2019 Gala co-chairs Brent and Kimberly Tipps, owners of BoomerJack’s restaurants, hosted us at their Grapevine location.
Guests arrived with gifts in hand to celebrate the new Gala season. 2019 marks the 16th anniversary year of the GRACE Gala, which has raised close to $5 million through the years to help those in need in our communities!
GRACE party favorite, Hollywood Booth, got the party started with their amusing photobooth as GRACE CEO, Shonda Schaefer, thanked the guests and relayed personal stories of how their donations make a lasting impact on families looking for hope.
Gala co-chairs Kimberly and Brent Tipps spoke on behalf of the Gala Committee members, who serve countless hours in preparation for a successful Gala. The Tipps pampered guests with free-flowing wine, beer, margaritas and a delicious spread of BoomerJack menu favorites from fajita, brisket and caramelized veggie quesadillas to pesto chicken and smoked brisket melts to their mouthwatering queso and much more, keeping guests’ bellies well satisfied!
The fierce dedication of our Auction Committee, headed by Lynda Warner and Daveen Miller, and the loyal support of our community provide us with the most outstanding auction items in our area, with every year of the Gala outdoing the one before.
Last night was a glimpse of the variety of donations we receive, such as beautiful Coach and Ted Baker purses, an Oculus Go, Nintendo Switch, and exclusive DeMarcus Ware autographed football and Cowboys helmet. Gift cards to upscale venues like Truluck’s and the ever-popluar Kendra Scott abound in our auction offerings, creating an array to please any taste.
Also revealed to last night’s guests was the blissful escape along Hawaii’s Kohala Coast that will be part of this year raffle! A six day, five night luxury vacation at the Fairmont Orchid Hawaii on the Big Island. The decadent package includes economy class air from California or Nevada, six days and five nights at the luxurious Fairmont Orchid Hawaii, a historical sunset cruise including a full course Hawaiian buffet dinner, plus free concierge reservation service. Last night’s guests who purchased raffle tickets were entered to win one of two VIP packages to see the Texas Rangers graciously donated by Stacey and Chris Archer, passes to NRH2O Family Water Park courtesy of NRH2O, and two winners of bottles of our limited edition GRACE Gala wine.
Witnessing the generosity of so many businesses and individuals was truly beauty in motion. The community’s genuine desire to see families thrive not only inspires us; it motivates us to ensure your resources serve as many people as possible.
The Gala Gifting Party precedes the Gala, which happens on October 26 this year at the Gaylord Texan Resort. The Gala is the single largest fundraising event for GRACE and revenues from th
e event are used to fund the many programs and services offered to GRACE clients throughout the year.
