GRACE revelers celebrate after Community Impact Newspaper was named Corporate Business of the Year at the Southlake Chamber Awards ceremony last week.

The Mardi Gras theme set a perfect mood for the festivities that followed. GRACE was both humble and proud to be among the revelers at Legends Hall in the Marq for the annual Southlake Chamber Annual Awards Gala last week.

The GRACE contingent—two tables of volunteers, nominees, and staff—erupted when GRACE nominee Community Impact Newspaper was awarded Corporate Business of the Year. Congratulations to Ana Erwin and her exceptional staff—well-earned and much-deserved!

GRACE was certainly among friends the entire evening! The Honorable John Huffman, mayor of Southlake, served as master of ceremonies. John and his wife, Elizabeth, are longtime GRACE supporters. Most recently, their design firm, Black Door Renovations, was the title sponsor for the GRACE Designer Bags & Bingo event in July.

Throughout the evening we applauded friend after friend as they mounted the steps to receive their awards.

Frost Bank’s Mimi Tran, a dedicated GRACE Gala volunteer, took home the Southlake Citizen of the Year prize. Reasa Selph, a very generous GRACE donor and GRACE Gala sponsor, won for Volunteer of the Year.

Mark Jones and First Financial Bank, a strong supporter, advocate, and banking partner of GRACE, received the 2021 Legacy Award.

The very creative Ryan Davis whose hilarious video launched the evening, won the President’s Award. Ryan and his wife, Michelle, have supported GRACE, the GRACE Gala, GRACE Designer Bags & Bingo, and the GRACE Poker Tournament for many years.

Dr. Paige Sohn, a new GRACE Gala sponsor for 2021, and Monika Heaton, who supported GRACE for the first time at the GRACE Designer Bags & Bingo event, walked away with the Chairman’s Award.

GRACE congratulates all who won or were nominated for their excellence this past year. All of the nominees represented many acts of generous dedication, kindness, and support.
