For the 5th year in a row, Carroll ISD challenged all 11 CISD campuses to participate in a gift card drive! The challenge ran from Monday, November 30 through Friday, December 4. This year, the campuses competed to see who can raise the most money in gift cards or online donations for the benefit of GRACE.

The Give Back Challenge offered two different ways to help this year. Gift card contributions in denominations of $10 to $25 will go to our Christmas Cottage program. Online donations were added as a new option this year to great success.

Students were encouraged to collect gift cards from fast food restaurants, clothing stores, Walmart, Target, and Kohl’s…past campus winners include Johnson Elementary (2016, 2017, 2018) and Walnut Grove Elementary (2019).

Eleven campuses in the CISD System – Carroll Elementary, Johnson Elementary, Old Union Elementary, Rockenbaugh Elementary, Walnut Grove Elementary, Durham Intermediate, Eubanks Intermediate, Carroll Middle, Dawson Middle, Carroll High, and Carroll Sr. High participated to see whose contribution reigns supreme!

GRACE Special Events Manager, Christina Cates loves seeing students get involved.
“The amount of need in our community is maddening, so it’s wonderful to see these kids come together and make a real difference in the lives of those around them,” Christina said excitedly.  “I absolutely love it, GO DRAGONS!”

The campus that contributes the largest dollar amount in gift cards and donations will be named the 2020 Ozarka® Compassion Cup winner.

The winning campus will be announced at the varsity football game when Carroll plays Fossil Ridge at Dragon Stadium tonight.

Thank you CISD for thinking of others, we are forever grateful!
