One of the most crucial essentials to financial security is reliable transportation.  For many individuals, lack of transportation is the first, and often final straw, in crises that cause job insecurity, housing loss, hunger, and increasing difficulty.

Car donations are crucial for GRACE in ensuring individuals and families have reliable transportation to work and school, so they are able to increase their earning potential, make their rent or take their children to day care.

Our client, Reshonda, joined our Transitional Housing Program this past March.  Within just two weeks of being with GRACE, she landed both a full-time and a part-time job!

She has since been promoted in her full-time position and now training to become a supervisor!  Reshonda is obviously a hard worker and super grateful for the opportunities and assistance coming her way.  And now this – her very own vehicle!

GRACE Family, you always inspire us with your acts of kindness – we have an anonymous donor to thank for the $3,000 down payment on Reshonda’s car!  This gave us the ability to secure Reshonda a manageable loan that is important for many reasons, one of which is that she can begin to re-establish her credit.

GRACE is continually grateful for the generous partnership we have have with The Thompson Group at Classic Chevrolet Grapevine.  The Thompson group does a great job of helping to select good cars, puts them under warranty, and, in this case, actually did a “dealer” loan – which means that Ken Thompson personally vouched for Reshonda.

We always know that because of Ken’s personal commitment to our clients, we get a good deal, with a great dealership, and they will stand beside our clients!

Donations of good, usable cars is a huge need.  If we are able to get it running and safe, we give it to the client and the donor receives a donation receipt for blue book value.

Do you have a car to donate?

If you are able to provide a mode of transportation, or have any resources available to help our clients, please contact GRACE Chief Program Officer, Stacy Pacholick. All car donations will benefit GRACE families based on need.
