Your donations give hope when families wonder how they’ll be able to afford back-to-school clothes, work boots or interview attire.  The items you give also supply our Transitional Housing Program with goods on hand for those seeking shelter.  With your funds, our Friends & Family Program, focused on improving the quality of life of area senior adults, was enabled to serve commodities to 89 individuals during the month of August.

As a result of your generosity and time, 795 students were given the help they so need as they returned for the new school year.  We were able to provide 392 backpacks filled with school supplies at the GCISD Back-To-School Fair.  Plus, 1,048 individuals received clothing for back-to-school, work and everyday.

Many donations are funneled into our resale operations, which generate revenue to continue programs such as our Community Clinic – resulting in 377 patient visits and the ability to provide 66 Clinic classes in August – and Food Pantry – in which 79,637 food items were provided over the course of 750 shopping visits last month!  GRACE Client Services alone met with 511 clients seeking assistance.

The multitudes of items we receive require stewardship, strategy, and elbow grease to ensure the products are directed where they will be most useful.  Businesses, church congregations, civic groups and individuals find great satisfaction after volunteering with us, and many helping hands are required to support our operations and programs.
