It’s that time of year again to celebrate GRACE’s real-life superheroes – OUR VOLUNTEERS! Whether it’s sorting through donations at Donation Station, helping out at the clinic or building relationships with our clients at the food pantry, GRACE volunteers donate hours upon hours of service to all GRACE programs. Our volunteers become not only heroes for GRACE, but to our entire community as well. For that and more, we want to say thanks! GRACE is excited to have this year’s Volunteer Appreciation theme as “There is a Super Hero in all of us.”

Starting Monday, April 10th, GRACE invites you to come out and enjoy superhero-themed celebrations with us all week long as each GRACE site hosts their Volunteer Appreciation party to honor their volunteer superheroes. Wonderful gifts, delicious foods, and friendly faces are just some of the spectacular treats that our volunteers will receive as a thank you from GRACE.

Concluding Volunteer Appreciation Week will be the annual GRACE Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on Friday, April 14th. This all-star event will take place at Whites Chapel in Southlake located at 185 S White Chapel Blvd. Check-in will begin at 11:00 am in Evans Hall, with the program following at 11:30 am. During the event, attendees will be able to take pictures at the Superhero Selfie Booth and also engage in fun entertainment provided by one of the most electrifying DJs in the community.

This luncheon will celebrate all our wonderful volunteers and will reveal winners of this year’s Volunteer Appreciation Awards. Some of the awards that will be given out are Board Member of the Year, Volunteer Group of the Year, and Overall Volunteer of the Year! On top of that, a local superhero of the community is scheduled to make a guest appearance at this year’s event as well!

“We are so excited to be able to celebrate our volunteers once again, said GRACE CEO Shonda Schaefer. “Their hard work and passion for saving the community is heroic to many and is something that you can only find, right here in the heart of our community.”

We would love to see all of our wonderful superhero volunteers at this year’s Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. Everyone is welcome to attend- from those that have volunteered one hour to volunteers that spend many a Saturday assisting us. Go here to RSVP today. Please be sure to RSVP by Monday, April 10th.

GRACE thanks our volunteers for being the Superheroes of our awesome organization. Your service to the community is inspirational for many people, including our GRACE clients, and we can’t wait to celebrate you on this week!
