As many know, GRACE clients often come through our doors facing ongoing hardship due to limited income or a sudden emergency. But, what about those affected by others trying to cut expenses? What if it was a slow week for a small business owner? Or, what if a private practice experiences too many cancellations? GRACE is here for these situations too.
This month, GRACE was visited by a Registered Behavior Technician who has dedicated her time and skill to working with autistic children. She has a successful practice, and yet, this month she was struggling to make ends meet.
Perhaps it was the excitement surrounding the end of the school year or the beautiful weather outside. Maybe her client wasn’t feeling well or their family was having to make necessary budget cuts of their own. For all those reasons and more, this therapist had experienced too many cancellations in recent weeks and found herself unable to cover her monthly expenses.
A neighbor suggested she visit GRACE, so she reluctantly came to us to explain her situation. This was unusual for her — she had never not been able to make ends meet. She came through our doors concerned and with little hope that GRACE would be able to assist her. However, she left grateful and surprised.
GRACE was able to provide her with the resources she needed to keep her family securely housed for the month and gave her access to the Food Pantry once a month to help offset expenses should the lack of patients continue through the summer months.
No matter what it is you’re facing, GRACE is here to offer resources and assistance to all who have need.
“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.” – Proverbs 3:27
