We are so grateful to have the privilege of being presented with a grant of $15,462 from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This donation from the church’s Humanitarian Fund was the result of a Humanitarian Project Grant Request from GRACE. The funds will go to the purchase of chairs, tables and a demo mirror for our “Cooking Matters” Program’s teaching kitchen.
Leslie Horn, Assistant Director of Public Affairs for the Colleyville Stake, explains, “The goal of the church’s humanitarian work is to relieve suffering, foster self-reliance, and provide opportunities for service. We find purpose in following Christ’s example of kindness, generosity, and service to the poor and needy. Christlike love is our motive, and we are so happy we could partner with your organization in this way!”
The representatives of the Colleyville Stake went on to express their appreciation for all that GRACE does for families in Northeast Tarrant County. The church pledges it will be their pleasure to continue to assist in our organization’s valiant efforts with volunteers, commodities and future project support.
We cannot thank The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints enough for their benevolent gift to our organization that will profoundly benefit so many individuals and families in need. GRACE also wants to extend a special thanks to our Grantwriter, Lora Atkinson, for the wonderful job she did writing up the grant request.
