GRACE is honored to announce long-time supporters and friends, Tina and Vic De Vincenzo as the 2020 Chairs for the 17th annual GRACE Gala.

No strangers to the metroplex area, Tina and Vic De Vincenzo met while attending Martin High School in Arlington, TX.  Vic continued his education receiving a Finance degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. While Tina sought her degree at Texas A&M University later earning a M.Ed. from Texas Tech University. Tina and Vic celebrated their 28th anniversary earlier this year. The high school sweethearts lived throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area before planting their roots with their children Christina and Joseph in Southlake in 2005.

From their children’s early activities to their own careers, Tina and Vic quickly immersed themselves into all this special area had to offer. While their children attended Carroll ISD, the family supported all of Christina’s Student Council leadership activities while later cheering on Joseph through every Dragon Football game where he played defensive back.  Joseph was awarded several Texas AP Sports Editors Class all-state honors. Christina and Joseph were both selected by the faculty at Carroll Senior High School to be a coveted Green Jacket. Christina graduated from the University of Oklahoma with honors in 2016.  Joseph is currently a junior on the Dean’s List in the Mechanical Engineering program at Texas A&M University.

With Tina serving as a teacher in Carroll ISD and Vic working at Atmos Energy, from early on, they were personally able to experience two groups that make the community so special: dedicated families and generous support from corporate partners. Atmos Energy has consistently and generously supported GRACE’s efforts through the years.

Their combined experiences alluded to the strong sense of community, which is what inspired the De Vincenzo family to become involved in the mission of GRACE. It quickly became clear that the GRACE family would hold a special place in their hearts. Since they arrived in the area, their family has consistently supported GRACE on all fronts.

Tina initiated a program to bring her students to the Donation Station for community service opportunities. While participating in Young Men’s Service League (YMSL), Tina and Joe worked in many capacities from the Donation Station to manning the retail shop, Graceful Buys. Christina often volunteered at GRACE through programs at Carroll High School.

Following Vic’s nomination to the GRACE board several years ago, the family’s strong commitment strengthened and they have continued to be actively involved. With more than two decades of industry leadership and corporate philanthropy experience with GRACE, United Way, and JDRF, Vic provides a keen eye for growth opportunities and contagious enthusiasm to help those in need.

“For many years, GRACE has been on the top of the minds and hearts of the De Vincenzo family. We feel blessed and honored to be asked to lead the GRACE gala team this year. During such a unique part in history due to the COVID-19 health emergency, more people in our area are in need. We look forward to supporting the mission of GRACE and appreciate the opportunity to see the community come together and give back to those who need it most.”

The 2020 GRACE Gala will take place Saturday, November 7th, 2020 at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas.
