Sam Pack’s Five Star Subaru of Grapevine pulled out all the stops today, Friday, June 19, at the Community Outreach Center Feed Our Kids site.
Nearly 200 youngsters from the neighborhoods surrounding the Outreach Center enjoyed packaged meals and a visit from the Tikiz ice cream truck.
Feed Our Kids wrapped up its third week by posting some of its largest numbers served to-date. Thursday, nearly 630 children were served at six locations around the city. Today’s number is expected to top that.
Next week, volunteers from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have reserved two sites for the entire week. The same volunteers will return to those sites, 121 Church and the Outreach Center, for the final week of the program, August 10-14.
Many thanks to all of the Feed Our Kids volunteers for making this summer a great experience for so many children.
