Members from the First United Methodist Church of Grapevine came together to feed children in need in our community. First United has historically been one of the most supportive partners for our Feed Our Kids program, and this year has been no exception.
Together, volunteers took over all 6 sites for one week, delivering and serving lunches to over 2,700 children that week. The logistics behind this effort are tremendous, with food preparation for so many at one time. Volunteers worked hard to prepare, pack and provide these lunches, and then braved the heat to deliver and serve them.
In addition to this, First United will serve lunch at our GRACE Main location for three more weeks this summer, which will result in over 4,500 lunches served by this incredible group of volunteers.
