It only takes two things: a heart to help children and some extra time this summer. Last year, Feed Our Kids volunteers provided more than 35,500 lunches to at-risk children over the summer.
Feed Our Kids is an excellent way for groups to enjoy a hands-on experience that makes a tangible difference in our community. The program provides nutritious meals to children who are fed through the school’s free and reduced lunch program.
GRACE is looking to families, civic groups, churches and businesses to cover all six Grapevine sites this summer.
Individuals and groups can get involved one of two ways: adopting a workweek or workday of meals at any site for as little as $2 per child for other groups to host, or providing meals as the hosts at one of the sites.
The number of children served varies from site to site and range from 40 to 250 children for one weekday.
