This year Art in the Square celebrates its 20th year!

In 2000, the Southlake Women’s Club first presented Art in the Square as a community fundraiser. With the generous help of sponsors and volunteers, Art in The Square has risen to be a nationally ranked fine arts event.

In addition to offering the best in visual arts, Art in the Square features a tremendous lineup of musicians and performing artists. Two stages feature continuous entertainment all weekend long.

On the Main Stage, catch groups performing Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock, Reggae, Motown, and Country. The Gazebo Stage features local talent and family entertainment. Past performances include The Southlake Swing Band, children’s story tellers, local school bands and dance studios.

Last year proceeds of $200,000 were granted to 30 beneficiaries. The event has now surpassed $2.9 million in grants awarded since its inception. The key to the success is the support of the community, the City of Southlake and event sponsors. Southlake Women’s Club truly appreciates your support and efforts. Sponsors and beneficiaries will be honored at a VIP party held at the Southlake Hilton one week before the festival.

This annual two and a half day festival is run solely by volunteers.

Highlights of the festival:

  • Wide variety of artwork from over 150 artists exhibiting in oil, acrylic, watercolor, drawing, sculpture, jewelry, fiber and photography.
  • Juried emerging artists and youth art.
  • Continuous live performances on two stages.
  • Wide variety of food and beverage selections.
  • Community support with over $2 million raised to aid charities serving women and families in Northeast Tarrant County.

Fun for adults and kids of all ages!

Kids Korner is a special area of the festival for children of all ages to have fun and exhibit their talent that includes face painting, colored hair spray, sugar art, and oil coloring. Another kid friendly area – The Zone – offers thrills for teens and ‘tweens! Enjoy the bounce house, inflatables, rock climbing wall, a zip line, and a 4-way bungee trampoline for young and young-at-heart!

All Zone activities require tickets, which can be purchased at booths throughout the festival and also redeemed for food and drinks. A portion of all ticket sales for The Zone activities goes directly to our Art in the Square beneficiaries
