As we continue through the summer months and edge closer to fall, we are getting excited for the 12th Annual Classic Chevrolet Charity Golf Tournament! Through this tournament, set to take place on Thursday, October 5th, Classic Chevrolet will be supporting a number of local organizations – including GRACE! For several years now, the employees of Classic Chevrolet have been involved with the community on multiple levels and have always been encouraged by owner Tom Durant to expand on that involvement. Tom and his wife Susan put out the challenge for the employees to “raise as much as they could” for the community, and they would personally match it dollar for dollar. In 2012, a committee was formed by the employees of Classic Chevrolet to take fundraising efforts to the next level, and thus began the annual golf tournament. Read more →GRACE would like to introduce its new Donation Station & Internet Sales Manager, Brian Matthews! Brian was born in Bryan, Texas, and was raised in Junction City, Kansas. Growing up he loved kayaking, camping, fishing, and playing disc golf with his family; most of the things he continues to do with his children. Before joining GRACE, Brian worked as an Online Sales Manager for Goodwill in Fort Worth, leading the charge in setting short-term and long-term goals, coordinating sales activities, and managing the company’s sales website. Brian came to GRACE in May and has already begun to use his creative experiences to help with GRACE’s online shopping platform GRACEful-E. Read more →As the summer season edges closer to autumn and the start of the school year looms, GRACE still had one very important graduation to celebrate. Last night, we celebrated eight incredible women that recently graduated from the Transitional Housing program with food, moving speeches, photos, and lots of happy tears! The beautiful landscape of Paradise Cove served as the perfect backdrop for the evening ceremony. Local caterer, Bolles Appetit, provided a delicious array of foods including fresh fruit, fiery jalapeño poppers, and juicy pulled pork sliders. Selph Marketing graciously donated a fun selfie station for graduates and guests alike to commemorate the event. Throughout the night, story after story was shared from staff and graduates on just how incredible the Transitional Housing program is – especially the clients! – and what a difference it has made in the lives of each person involved.
