September is Hunger Action Month – a month when people all over the U.S. stand together with Feeding America and the nationwide network of food banks to fight hunger.  It’s a month to spread the word and take action on the hunger crisis, and dedicate ourselves to a solution.

The goal of Hunger Action Month is to mobilize the public to act on behalf of area food banks.  It is an opportunity to create a movement throughout September that has a real and lasting impact to help end hunger in America.

As individuals, charities, businesses and government, we all have a role to play in getting food to those in need.  The ending summer months are the hardest on our Pantry in ensuring GRACE clients have the ingredients for nutritious family meals.  You can see our many items needed by clicking the link to our Pantry Needs List.

If you would like to initiate a food drive or want an update on the Pantry’s immediate needs, then call Pantry Manager, Keith Hills, at 817-305-4677, or email khills@gracegrapevine.org.

Cash contributions also are needed to offset the cost of foodstuffs purchased through the local food bank.  Cash gifts are gratefully received at the GRACE Main Offices at 837 E. Walnut St. in Grapevine or online at http://www.GRACEGrapevine.org.  Please designate “Pantry” with your gifts, so we know you would like to help feed the hungry.
