GRACE was excited to once again be part of the annual Back-to-School Fair on Saturday, August the 1st, by collaborating with 121 Community Church which is our incredible, yearly host for BTS, Grapevine Women’s Division, Connect, Retiring Teachers, GCISD Staff, and community members to support families as they prepare for the new school year.
Over the past few months, we collected and prepared backpacks filled with school supplies, along with clothing, and undergarments. During the event, we were able to provide these items to local, GCISD students and families in need. We will also continue providing school supplies and clothing to families who visit GRACE Client Services throughout the year. This event is always a great reminder of what can happen when our community comes together.
We could not make this event happen without our amazing volunteers. NCL Southlake and every other volunteer who donated their time and energy to help move and transport boxes and prepare for the Back-to-School Fair. New and returning volunteers also helped hand out clothing packets, backpacks, and undergarments to families with kindness and compassion—we had the best of people come out and support the BTS Fair!
GRACE is also grateful for the many organizations and groups that help make this possible such as Pegasus Logistics, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Hyatt Hotels, Emler Swim School, Realterm, Lifetime Colleyville, Hawaiian Falls, and many other donors, and silent donors who have generously helped us serve so many children each year during the back-to-school season. Truly, your efforts do not go unnoticed.
To all our donors and volunteers, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for giving your time and support to the families we serve. You may not always see the impact of your generosity but please know it reaches much further than you realize. Whether it is a backpack or simply your time, you are helping a child walk into their first day of school feeling prepared. We are truly grateful to each of you.
