February is often called Heart Month, a time to focus on compassion, connection, and care—and this year, GRACE made it a little warmer and a lot more meaningful for the individuals and families we serve.
Throughout the month, the GRACE Clothing Room distributed scarves, hats, and mittens adorned with hand-woven hearts, generously provided by Warm Up America!.
Our Friends & Family program brought joy directly to our senior clients’ doors. Volunteers delivered groceries to 62 homes, each accompanied by handmade Valentine’s cards created by students from Legacy and Grapevine Faith junior high art classes. This marked the first year these students participated, and the impact was immediate. We hope this new tradition continues for years to come!
Heart health remained a central focus at the GRACE Community Clinic. While cardiovascular wellness is prioritized year-round, February brought special emphasis through participation in several initiatives with the American Heart Association, including the Target BP program, the Cardiovascular Disease program, and the Diabetes program. These efforts help ensure our patients receive education, screenings, and ongoing support to protect not just their hearts—but their long-term health.
Heart Month at GRACE served as a reminder that compassion comes in many forms. Thanks to our partners, volunteers, and supporters, February truly lived up to its name—one heart at a time.
