GRACE Care Managers Train for Excellence

As the needs facing our community become increasingly complex, the professionals serving our neighbors need the right tools to meet those challenges. Thanks to funding from LDS, GRACE recently brought together Care Managers and community partners from One Safe Place and the Grapevine Police Department’s Community Outreach team for a full day of professional development focused on strengthening how we support the people we serve.

Led by renowned Motivational Interviewing and De-escalation expert Matt Bennett, the training introduced evidence-based techniques designed to help social service professionals navigate difficult conversations, build trust and encourage positive change. Participants explored practical approaches to motivational interviewing and de-escalation that can be applied both in client interactions and everyday situations.

One attendee shared, This was an amazing project. There's no doubt this can change people’s lives.

At GRACE, investing in our people means investing in the people we serve. With support from partners like LDS, opportunities like this help equip Care Managers and community providers with the knowledge, confidence and evidence-based techniques they need to meet evolving needs—and ultimately provide the best possible care for our neighbors.
