GRACE is proud to celebrate another successful Spring Break with our Feed Our Kids program! This year, over 500 meals were served to children in our community, ensuring they received healthy, nutritious meals during the school holiday—thanks to the dedication and generosity of our incredible volunteers.
A special thank you goes to First Grapevine Methodist Church and Grapevine’s First Baptist Church, whose volunteers step up in a big way each year to ensure children are cared for during the break. Their compassion and commitment continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of local families.
As we look ahead to summer, the need only grows. With the rising costs of food continuing to impact families across our community, more households are struggling to keep meals on the table—especially when school is out. From May 26 through August 7, our 11-week Feed Our Kids summer program operates Monday through Friday from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm, ensuring children who depend on school lunches continue to receive consistent, nutritious meals. Last summer alone, over 32,000 meals were served—and with your help, we hope to reach even more children this year as the need continues to grow.
We’re grateful that over 60 volunteer groups have already committed to serving this summer, but there is still a need for additional support on select days and at 6 locations around Grapevine. Volunteer groups bring creativity and care to each meal, serving everything from sandwiches and pizza to burgers and home-cooked favorites like spaghetti and King Ranch chicken. But if you ask the kids—the all-time favorite is the beloved Chick-fil-A!
