Building a Bright Future Through GRACE Mentorship Housing Program

The GRACE Mentorship Housing (MH) program works with individuals, through dedicated case management, who have found themselves unhoused due to domestic violence or financial hardship. This two-year program provides security while residents participate in required activities designed to improve life skills, provide mental health care, support families with children, offer financial education, and provide other resources that help lead the household to self-sufficiency.

Lisa* joined the program mid-year of 2025 and immediately proved her dedication to a brighter future. After balancing several part-time jobs, she secured a full-time position and was quickly promoted to management. Though GRACE assists her, she insists that we cover only a specific portion of assistance so that she can take ownership of her own financial status and responsibilities. She radiates joy and has even encouraged her fellow MH residents with her story and set an example that the program works if they are willing to put in the work.

Within a few short months of being a GRACE resident, we have seen her thrive! Though still in the program, with her tenacity and her recent promotion, Lisa has already exhibited the drive and dedication needed to continue to learn from GRACE and ultimately become self-sufficient, providing a secure and stable household for herself and her children for many years to come.
