Back to School Fair 2026: Help Needed!

We’re excited to kick off preparations for our upcoming Back-to-School Fair happening on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 7:00–10:00 a.m. Volunteer support is needed both the afternoon before the event on Friday, July 31, from 12:30–3:30 p.m., and the morning of the fair as we help prepare GCISD students for the 2026–2027 school year.

Volunteers will begin at GRACE Main, assisting with loading pre-packed backpacks, school supplies, and clothing packets. From there, we'll continue loading at the Donation Station before transporting and setting everything up at 121 Community Church. In addition to event-day support, we'll also be stuffing backpacks on July 13–17. Any time you can give during these prep days makes a tremendous impact and is greatly appreciated!

UPDATE:

We also have one urgent need before our July 17 donation deadline: we're still seeking new backpacks for Kindergarten through 5th grade students. Thanks to the generosity of our community, many supplies have already been collected, but we're currently short on elementary-sized backpacks. If you've been meaning to donate, now is the perfect time to help ensure every child starts the school year with the backpack they need.

This initiative is made possible through our incredible community partnership with the Women's Division, 121 Community Church, the Retired Teachers Association, and GRACE, all coming together to support GCISD students.

If you're unable to volunteer, there are still meaningful ways to make a difference through donations. Please note that all donations must be received by July 17. QR codes with volunteer sign-ups and donation information are provided below for easy access.
