FIRST PRESBYTERIAN SENDS LITTLE HELPERS

The First Presbyterian Grapevine (FPGV) congregation gives a ministry collection to the GRACE Food Pantry to purchase staples such as eggs and butter, and this week they also put some kiddos to work during FPGV’s Children’s Mission Week.

NCL SOUTHLAKE ASSEMBLES OVER 100 BACKPACKS

We can always count on our wonderful National Charity League (NCL) community to serve in various ways. Members assembled $4,000 work of supplies that were given by the NCL Foundation grant.

Several volunteers from NCL Southlake spent time sorting and stuffing backpacks for next week’s Back to School fair.

Each backpack carries essential supplies for children from elementary age through high school. Historically, GRACE has dispensed up backpacks for up to 350 schoolchildren each year, and meets the Back to School clothing needs of approximately 1,000 children each year.

The NCL Southlake, NCL Metroport and NCL Colleyville did a tremendous job hosting site at Feed Our Kids. Together they served a grand total of 3,027 meals for children!

ST. LAURENCE CHURCH REPLENISHES CLOTHING INVENTORY

St. Laurence Church member Jan Votto delivered 420 pairs of underwear and 300 pairs of socks for children whose families will seek help at the GRACE Clothing Room.

To date the congregation has helped an estimated 1,000 children in need of essentials such as socks and underwear.

Monetary funds were also collected for the Clothing Room to meet ongoing needs for Back to School apparel.

PEGASUS LOGISTICS PROVIDES PACKING MATERIALS FOR BACK TO SCHOOL FAIR

When Pegasus Logistics learned about our need for packing boxes to transfer Back to School items for the Back to School Fair, they once again delivered (quite literally) without hesitation.

Having congruent boxes makes packing the thousands of school supply items and clothing packets as efficient as possible.

There is still time to give for both the current season and in preparation for the families who find themselves in a crisis after the May deadline for GCISD Back to School Fair!
