(l-r) GRACE Director of Community Engagement Lara Hohweiler and GRACE Chief Executive Officer Shonda Schaefer accept a generous gift from Alisa Runge, 2018 Chair of the Women’s Division of the Grapevine Chamber.

GRACE is privileged to have had a long-standing relationship with members of the Women’s Division of the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce. A shared mission of service to the community, and compassion for those in need forged this partnership many years ago.

The Women’s Division is a generous collaborator with GRACE in the community, awarding scholarships to women in the GRACE Transitional Housing program that gives them the opportunity to pursue their dreams.

During the holidays, the group spearheads the Christmas Spirit outreach, which fulfills the wish lists of over 100 seniors in the GRACE Friends & Family program, many who are alone and home bound. The Women’s Division assures they are cared for, and that the season of love includes them, too.

Members of the Women’s Division buy and package backpacks and school supplies for hundreds of children in the GCISD who would otherwise start a new school year without needed essentials.

Members of the Women’s Division have served on the GRACE Board of Directors, and volunteered for many GRACE functions and programs. Several GRACE staff members have been honored to be among the membership of the organization.

This past week, the Women’s Division presented a gift of $7,800 to meet the continuing needs of the Back To School program at GRACE.

Thank you, Women’s Division, for all that you do. Find out more: Women’s Division.
