Looking for a way to serve this summer? With so many programs at GRACE, there is always a way to meet the needs of families through serving! Bi-monthly volunteer orientations are held to share the exciting ways to team up with GRACE by investing your time and talents.

Each orientation lasts an hour or less. The next orientation dates will be on July 14 and July 28 at 3:00 p.m. for new volunteers and 4:00 p.m. for those fulfilling Community Service Restitution.

Serve at Feed Our Kids!

There are limited slots available for families and groups to sponsor. The number of meals range from 80-200 depending on site, and groups are encouraged to bring games and additional goodies as an optional choice. Feed Our Kids launches June 6 and runs each weekday until August 15.

GRACE Grocery Giveaway

GRACE Grocery Giveaway utilizes excess food donated near the end of the week to be enjoyed over the weekend while at the peak of freshness. Last year the community enabled us to provide over 12,000 bags of kitchen staples and groceries to families living in areas most vulnerable to food insecurity. Volunteers are continually needed to assemble the farmer’s market setting and sort produce.

If you or your group is interested in serving over the summer, contact Volunteer Manager Lara Hohweiler for details, or RSVP to attend the Volunteer Orientation. GRACE Grocery Giveaway volunteers are not required to attend Volunteer Orientation, but must confirm dates with Lara.

Those interested in hosting a Feed Our Kids day or week can sign up with Seasonal Programs Coordinator Lori Stevens.
