THREE WAYS TO HELP WITH FAMILIES WITH BACK TO SCHOOL NEEDS

GRACE is looking for volunteers to assist us during the GCISD Back to School Fair on Friday, August 5 and the following Saturday. Families or other groups are needed to load and unload school supplies in the truck and assist clients who register for the school supplies.

This service day does have age restrictions and might require lifting up to 40 pounds. Get complete details and sign up for a shift here.

Whether or not you are able to volunteer, there are still ways you can help with our Back to School needs.

Provide Back to School Boxes

GRACE specifically needs boxes with dimensions, 18″ x 16″ or 18″ x 18″ x 16″. These are the standard dimensions of most medium-sized boxes at hardware or moving supply stores. This particular size is requested because it fits well with our clothing packs and the uniform size allows GRACE to haul multiple boxes at once.

Host a Back to School Drive

We’ve generated a list of needs that cover children from elementary school through high school, along with many ideas that you and your group and can collect the goods with plenty of summer days by the pool to spare.
