We are excited to finally announce and introduce Melissa Maraki, our Special Events Manager here at GRACE! Melissa joined the GRACE team in August, bringing with her over eight years of corporate event planning experience. She comes to us after living abroad in Freshwater, Australia over the past few years, but is a born and raised Colleyville native.
Melissa is a 2010 graduate of Texas Christian University. She married her New Zealander sweetheart, Dane, in 2015, and together they have one precious daughter, Tilly. Tilly and Dane are experiencing Texas for the first time, and Melissa is enjoying showing her family all the fun Texas has to offer.
When they are not venturing out on Texas-sized adventures, the Maraki family enjoys college football Saturdays (at least when the Frogs are not stressing them out!), dinners with Melissa’s parents who still live in her hometown of Colleyville, movie dates, and, most importantly, playtime with their best buddy – their dog Mills.
Her most favorite things so far about working with GRACE have been seeing the gorgeous final setting of our recent GRACE Gala, witnessing a GRACE home blessing last month, and truly feeling the passion and love that thrives within our volunteers and the individuals that make up our staff.
