It’s that time again! Peace Together would like to invite GRACE supporters to join the Peace Together Walk, on Saturday, November 6th, starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Colleyville Masjid. Peace Together shares the spirit of compassion with GRACE and those in the community. They are looking forward to collaborating and supporting our programs with this wonderful walk.

Each year, the team puts the words of their mission into action, and strives to show there is no room in our community for discrimination, racism, hatred, bigotry and intolerance. The City of Colleyville is showing its support for this important work in the form of police escort and other assistance.

Rather than monetary donations, the Peace Together team requests that each person consider bringing food items to benefit the GRACE Food Pantry. You can select which items you would like to donate using this list, and drop them off at the Good Shepherd Catholic Community Colleyville parking lot before the opening ceremony.

Please note that all walkers are asked not to park at the Islamic Center, but rather to park at Good Shepherd Catholic Community, Congregation Beth Israel or First United Methodist Church of Colleyville (all relatively close to each other in Colleyville). Transportation will then be provided to the Islamic Center. You can walk the whole distance (approx. 3.2 miles to Congregation Beth Israel) or there will be several intermediate stopping points with transportation back to the parking areas. If you don’t feel a walk is for you, still please come and support this important mission. Food, music and a good time will all be a part of the closing ceremony at 4:30 p.m.
