The GRACE Friends & Family Program is a network of faith groups, community partners, civic groups, service organizations and individual volunteers that work together to improve the quality of life of area senior adults. GRACE coordinates services and resources to the older adult population within the communities of Grapevine, Southlake and Colleyville. The purpose of the GRACE Friends & Family Program is to coordinate informal and formal services that reduce social and physical isolation among senior residents, ages 55 and older. The Friends & Family Program is in need of volunteers to help lessen isolation among seniors and the disabled.

GRACE has identified a female senior client who has been in the hospital and rehab for almost two months. She is in need of a lift chair that would accommodate weight of up to 350 pounds. Pulling herself up from her chair to her walker is almost an impossible task for this lady. She currently has her husband assisting her, but he has had a stroke and is in a wheelchair.

The pricing for a chair like this would be about $1000-$1300.

If you or someone you know would like to contribute or donate the chair, please contact Maryann Waddell, Friends & Family Program Coordinator.
