Kris and Krystle

Krystle and Kris Gutierrez return as emcees of the GRACE Gala on October 6

GRACE is honored to welcome Krystle and Kris Gutierrez back as the emcees for the 2018 GRACE Gala. The pair teamed up last year as Gala emcees, and Kris did a solo stint in 2015.

Kris is the multi-Emmy Award winning co-anchor of the five o’clock news on NBC 5. Krystle is a broadcast journalist and is working on a number of freelance projects. Previously, she was the traffic anchor for NBC 5.

Before joining NBC, Kris was a national correspondent for FOX News Channel covering Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. There he covered the biggest headlines in the southwest region, including the Ft. Hood shooting, Zion Ranch in El Dorado, and the tragic F5 tornado in Joplin, MO. He also received national accolades from his extensive coverage of the BP oil spill.

On occasion, Kris was also called to file live reports from other parts of the country. He previewed the next generation space rocket from an assembly plant in Utah, covered wild fires in California, rode out hurricanes along the Gulf Coast and provided extensive coverage from the Texas-Mexico border, chronicling the rising tension and bloody turf wars between rival drug cartels.

Known for wearing his boots with his suits, this Texas native has received high praise from every corner of the state, including Best Television Reporter in Texas, Top Television Journalist and Best Live Reporter.

Kris earned two Emmy’s for Best Live Report and Best Spot News Report.

In 2013, Kris became the youngest person ever inducted into the Lewisville High School Hall Of Fame for varsity soccer, and later played at the collegiate level for the TCU Horned Frogs.

We are honored to have Krystle and Kris return to give voice to the GRACE mission. The Gala will take place on Saturday, October 6 in the new Vineyard Tower at the Gaylord Texan Resort. For sponsorship information and event details, visit GRACE Gala 2018.
