GRACE would like to welcome our latest staff edition, Bilingual Case Worker Valentina Fuster.

People come to GRACE for different reasons, sometimes its fate, sometimes Divine intervention but in Valentina’s case…she was assigned to GRACE.

Valentina was born in Irving and grew up in the Metroplex but her family’s journey started in Argentina; she says that her parents came here for a better life and that is where the idea of helping others to achieve a brighter future started to take hold.

While working on her bachelors in Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington she was assigned to GRACE as part of an internship program – she immediately felt a connection to our organization.

“I really enjoyed it, I felt welcome and got along with everyone…especially my supervisor Marcela,’’ Valentina said.

Valentina was sad to leave once her internship was complete, but soon after her graduation in 2019 she noticed that we had a job opening – she applied and was quickly hired on.

“I was very excited when we had the opportunity to bring Valentina back as a full time caseworker. Valentina started as a Social Work intern but during her time here she proved to be a wonderful asset to Client Services and a wonderful advocate for our clients. Valentina has a sense of compassion and intuition for case management that make her a great fit for GRACE,” Marcela Melendez, GRACE Client Services Manager.

Valentina’s sense of commitment, degrees in Social Work and Spanish, and above all her heart, make her a wonderful addition to the Client Services department which is often the first experience people have with our organization.

“I find this job really rewarding,” said Valentina. “There’s a sense of satisfaction I get from getting people the resources they need to make a meaningful impact on their lives.”

When she’s not at work Ms. Fuster serves as a volunteer photographer at Bethesda Church in Grand Prairie, “It’s always been a hobby and creative outlet that I really enjoy.”

The GRACE Family continues to grow and that is something we are always thankful for.
Welcome Valentina Fuster!
