The Tesoriero’s are making Christmas merrier for those in need. Mike and Nicole with daughters Gabriella (l) and Mia.

Only about a year ago, in a galaxy pretty close to home, Nicole and Mike Tesoriero of Southlake Style Magazine hosted a special screening of “Star Wars, The Force Awakens” to benefit GRACE Christmas Cottage. Well, the intrepid pair are at it again!!

Nicole and Mike have reserved a private showing of “Rogue One, A Star Wars Story” at Harkins Theatres Southlake on Sunday, December 18. The doors open at 1:30 p.m., with the showing to start at 2 p.m. All the proceeds will again go to help families served at GRACE Christmas Cottage.

The film itself is a milestone in the Star Wars franchise—the first standalone film in the epic adventure. “Rogue One” follows a band of unlikely heroes who come together to steal plans to the Empire’s Death Star.

LucasFilm PR states “This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.”

Coincidently, this is exactly the description for the Southlake Style special screening: a band of dedicated friends coming together to watch an extraordinarily awesome movie screening to make the Christmas season merrier for those in need.

“Movie goers will see an exciting chapter of the Star Wars saga, and help those in the community who are suffering at the same time,” said Mike Tesoriero, reminiscent of the humble heroes of STAR WARS fame.

“We are asking only for a donation of $10 or more to reserve a seat,” said Mike. Tickets and more event details can be found here: ROGUE ONE TIX.

Nicole and Mike have long been advocates and partners with GRACE. They served as chairs of the 2011 GRACE Gala, and provide copious advertising and editorial space in both Southlake Style and Flower Mound Style magazines for Gala advertising and other GRACE promotions.

“Rogue One” is the third private showing they have sponsored. In addition to the “Star Wars” event last year, they teamed with local businesses in 2013 for a screening of the American Girl movie, “Saige Paints the Sky” to benefit the GRACE Feed Our Kids program.
