No offering plate could hold the abundance of groceries that filled the sanctuary last month at First Presbyterian Grapevine. Last month members made it their mission to cover the stage with wholesome food that would make it to the tables of their neighbors in need.

The relationship between GRACE and First Presbyterian Church Grapevine (FPCGV) is longstanding and cherished. FPCGV has invested over 1,000 collective volunteer hours and given above and beyond with $111,000 to continue GRACE programs!

FPCGV has employed their creative talents to help families through various drives and volunteer projects, including the Reverse Hunger Food Truck that collected canned goods at local grocery stores, and a Royal Baby Shower to make new moms feel like Queens.

LOOKING FOR A WAY TO GIVE BACK?

Collecting food is a tangible, fundamental way to serve families that struggle to keep their pantry stocked due to limited income or recent emergency. A food drive is an ideal project for church congregations, civic clubs and scout groups.

If you are interested in getting involved the GRACE staff is eager to provide you information to match your greatest talents with the community’s greatest needs.

Thanks to FPCGV for being the hands and feet of Jesus, and for setting the standard on what it means to show God’s love to all people!

“He who is gracious and lends a hand to the poor lends to the Lord, and the Lord will repay him for his good deed.” -Proverbs 19:17
