If you were invited to dine with some of the families facing hardship this Christmas, you wouldn’t likely find crystal, china, or a Pottery Barn spread on their table.

In fact, some of the photos we received from families who turned to GRACE over the holidays captured tables lined with disposable Styrofoam plates and aluminum pans. What was true of all the photos, however, was the unmistakable expression of gratitude, and the warm fellowship of being with family.

Several families who received support this Christmas were so grateful that they took it upon themselves to share a part of their Christmas with us with a photo:

They also relayed their thanks with comments:

“God is faithful. Thank the people [who give] to GRACE for the blessing of having dinner this Christmas. May God bless you, always.” -GRACE Family

“Thank God for the blessing of having Christmas dinner on my table and thanks to GRACE for providing the food to a grateful family.” -GRACE Family

Your support in the way of volunteering, collecting food items, and giving of your resources ensures families surround a table filled with warm, abundant food to celebrate God’s goodness.

On behalf of those whose table was graced with turkey, sides, and pies because of your gifts, we thank you for spreading the joy of Christmas to our neighbors in need.

“Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas… perhaps…means a little bit more!”

– Theodor Seuss Geisel, How the Grinch Stole Christmas

As we put away our tinsel and lights, there’s one gift you can give that doesn’t require a bow. GRACE relies on year-end charitable gifts to ensure vital programs can continue the following year. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation here before 2017 ends. A gift of $20, $50, $150, or $500 or more will provide direct relief to families struggling in our midst.
