GRACE is extremely grateful to the young men who have invested their energy, skill set, weekends and evenings to build an Eagle Project that serves the GRACE community

The Eagle Scout rank is not one that is easily attained. Boys Scouts must live by the principles of the Scout Oath and Law (which places high value on service and honor) and earn a total of 21 merit badges that range from first aid to the “Citizenship in the Nation” badge, which encourages scouts to be grateful for their liberties and rights.

Among other requirements is an individual service project deemed helpful to a religious institution, school or community, otherwise known as the Eagle Scout Project. A project proposal must be thought up by the Boy Scout, approved by the Boy Scout Council, and executed.

Dylan Tong began his Eagle Project by taking on the responsibility of repainting the GRACE Main Parking Lot. This was no easy task with the late July heat beating down on the Scout and his troop. With all hands on deck, the project was completed over the course of two weekends.

Thank you so much to Dylan and his group for painting our parking lot and making it much easier and safer for our clients and volunteers!

We currently have no Eagle Projects available at this time. For general volunteer opportunities please email Sarah Armand at volunteer@gracegrapevine.org.
