There are only so many hours left in 2016! And GRACE Donation Station will be open for many of those hours so you can drop off your donations and receive a tax benefit.

The last day of the year is a perfect time to volunteer at GRACE Donation Station.

Donation Station manager Kathy Mize believes today is really the ideal time! Donating your gently used clothing and household goods “now rather than tomorrow will help you to beat the rush and the long lines we anticipate,” said Kathy.

Donation Station will be open until 6 p.m. this (Friday, December 30) afternoon; and open all day (Saturday, December 31) tomorrow, 8:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Donation Station is at 112 North Scribner Street in Grapevine—just turn at Old West Café and it’s right there!

Kathy asks that you please package the items you are donating in disposable containers like trash bags or cardboard boxes. This will help volunteers unload quickly and begin sorting.

“The end of the year is our busiest time,” said Kathy. GRACE embraces an “all hands on deck” attitude to unload cars and send donors on their way as fast as possible. “We are ready for your donated goods, and thank you on behalf of all those your gifts will help,” she added.

GRACE will have plenty of volunteers and staff to help speed the process and get you on your way. Still, there is room for more volunteers.  A Sign-Up Genius has been posted and help is needed tomorrow afternoon.

Also, please consider the tax benefits of making a year-end contribution to GRACE. All donations postmarked before January 1 will count toward your 2016 tax deductions. To be absolutely assured that your gift made it in time for the tax deadline, click here to make an online donation.

Thanks for a great 2016, and here’s wishing you and yours a safe and prosperous 2017!!
