Part of the fun will be seeing what color/colors the chef’s coat will be.
Our springtime gala, Designer Bags & Bingo, is still a few months away, but the fine details of the event are all coming together.
Good friends Judy and Ted Bilsky at Scratch Kitchen have created a custom menu just for Designer Bags & Bingo. The full menu is a closely-kept secret, but some of the savory offerings may include jalapeno-infused temptations and way-satisfying delights with their secret house seasoning.
Rumor has it Ted’s famous Cowboy cookies may make an appearance be on the sweets bar, along with a number of other enjoyments. Ted has volunteered to curate the wines for the evening to make sure the pairings match perfectly, and the bubbly keeps flowing to pleased palates.
“Scratch Kitchen is so much a part of the GRACE family,” said Shonda Schaefer, GRACE Chief Executive Officer. “Ted, Judy and their crew at Scratch Kitchen have supported every one of our events for years. Christmas Cottage, the Poker Tournament, the Gala, staff and volunteer functions—the list is endless.”
GRACE can now add the inaugural Designer Bags & Bingo to that long list. Judy and Ted have kept family the epicenter of their business philosophy since day one, including the families that GRACE serves.
“We have strong beliefs in our community and in giving back,” said Ted who, along with Judy and son Colby, started Scratch Kitchen in 2015. “Creating and serving food for events like Designer Bags & Bingo is our way treating GRACE donors to a ‘thank you’ for their generous contributions.”
Designer Bags & Bingo debuts in the showroom of Park Place Jaguar Land Rover DFW in Grapevine on Thursday, April 23. Proceeds from the event will benefit GRACE Transitional Housing clients.
The Designer Bags & Bingo wait list is still very active, reported Lara Hohweiler, GRACE Community Outreach Director. A sponsorship may be the only sure way to take part in this year’s event.
Four additional feature sponsorships have been created. Sponsorships include a table of ten guests and promotional benefits. Each are available for $2,500.
