The GRACE Community Garden is hosting their mid spring planting day next weekend on March 18. The team will prepare for the fall harvest with squash and melons and plant corn and peppers.

The major planting project will also tend to the fruit trees and stake strawberries and raspberries. The workday begins at 9:00 a.m. until complete, usually by noon.

Volunteering at the Community Garden is a healthy and rewarding way to provide wholesome nourishment for families in need. Volunteers are needed to assist in clean up, preparation, planting and tilling to ensure another fruitful season.

A special thanks to GRACE volunteers Texas Master Gardener Caryn Hutchinson, Becca Clarke and Alison Shumaker for their tireless efforts to ensure that each season is a fruitful one at the Community Garden.

Please RSVP to the March 18 work day by emailing Becca Clarke.

If you’re not able to attend this workday but have a heart for the purpose of the Community Garden, prayerfully consider providing in one or all of these areas:
